The 35th State Day of Mizoram, commemorating the elevation of Mizoram to a full-fledged state of India was celebrated in Lawngtlai District at the DC's Conference Hall today, with the Deputy Commissioner Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika as Chief Guest.
The function was also graced by the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) Pu Manghmung Chinzah, along with elected members of LADC, officials of LADC and state government, representatives from ex-servicemen, NGOs and political parties.
The celebration was chaired by Pu H. Lalramenga, Executive Secretary, LADC. Rev. B. Zazawna Lai, General Secretary, LIKBK performed Bible reading and prayer. After the Chief Guest and the CEM delivered their speeches, Pu C. Lalhruaitluanga, District Information & Public Relations Officer, Lawngtlai proposed a vote of thanks.
