Kolasib dated 15th April, 2024: 3rd Training for 113 Presiding Officers and 113 Assistant Presiding Officers for Lok sabha MP Election was conducted in Kolasib today at DIPRO Conference Hall, DUDO Conference Hall and BRC Hall to ensure the smooth conduct of Election on 19th April 2024.

Training was given by State Level Master Trainer, District Level Master Trainer and Assembly Segment Master Trainer on the topic of EVM & VVPAT handling, Mock Poll, timely report on voter turnout through Poll star and filling up of various important forms. Hands-on operation of EVM was also carried out in the training.

Kolasib district having 3 Assembly segment, namely 4-Tuirial, 5-Kolasib and 6-Serlui have a total of 63830 voters and 89 Polling Station. Of the 89 Polling Station, 10 will be women managed, 1 will be youth managed and another 1 is Unique Polling Station. The Unique Polling Station is designed with a theme on ‘Importance of Rain water harvesting’.
