Lunglei, 6 May 2026: The 40 Days Healthy Lunglei Campaign was formally launched on Tuesday evening at Lunglei Rahsiveng Local Council Hall under the Healthy Lunglei District Campaign, with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and expanding the use of the LushAI Healthy Lunglei mobile application.
The programme was chaired by YMA Rahsiveng Branch President Pu H. Lalhmachhuana. Launching the campaign, Election Officer and District Urban Development Officer Pi Lalhruaitluangi highlighted that the initiative aims to improve public health outcomes and ensure greater accessibility to healthcare services for the people of Lunglei. She urged citizens to adopt healthy habits, avoid lifestyle-related health risks and actively use the LushAI Healthy Lunglei app.
District Immunisation Officer Dr Christina Zonunmawii delivered an awareness session on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), emphasising prevention strategies and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A live demonstration on the usage of the LushAI Healthy Lunglei app was also conducted.
Over 50 participants, including YMA members and local residents, attended the event. A medical team carried out health screenings for 20 individuals, while several attendees installed the mobile application on the spot.
During the 40-day campaign period, similar activities—including health screenings and awareness programmes—will be conducted across various YMA branches and colleges. Incentives are also planned for users who actively download and engage with the app.
The LushAI Healthy Lunglei app enables users to check doctors' availability in government hospitals and health centres, book OPD appointments in advance, register for ABHA and order medicines from registered pharmacies. It also features an AI chatbot capable of assisting users and responding to queries in the Mizo language.
