A meeting with   Dr.Lalzirmawia Chhangte IAS,   an observer to 3 districts' E/Rolls viz: Lunglei,Lawngtlai leh Siaha, in connection with Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls,2020 was held in DRDA Conference Hall, here in Siaha, today.

The Meeting was presided over by Shri.  B.Lalchhawntluanga, DC in-charge & ERO  to 39-Saiha(ST),A/C  and Shri. H.Zonunmawia,Election Officer delivered an introductory speech and wherein he highlighting what was all about Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls  and all the nitty gritty  involved thereof, and what had been already done and what has to be done in days to come by Siaha district in this regard.

Speaking at the occassion, observer Dr.Zira Profusely thanked all those who involved in preparation of Pure E/Roll year after year, as  E/Roll  needs  continuous updation.He reminded the audiences that

Pure E/Roll is the bedrock of Free,Fair and Inclusive Election. Our E/Roll should not only be pure but also ought to appear pure as well. He requested all the political parties , NGOs, BLOs and all the stakeholders to continue in supporting officials in their endeavours to have pure E/Rolls as a responsible citizens of India. "your involvement in  E/Roll preparation will not only ensure Transparency but also make it appears too," he quipped.

After delivering a speech, Dr.Zira had an interaction session with the audiances; and wherein he answered zealously all the queries raised by the audiances.

Today's meeting was well attended by EROs,AEROs,BLOs, representatives of various NGOs & Political parties and special invitees.

 Dr.Lalzirmawia IAS inspected some polling stations within Siaha town in the morning hour and left for Tipa  right after the meeting to inspect Polling Stations under 49-Palak(ST) A/C.
