Aizawl the 2nd March, 2022: In partial modification to the order to the Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Department (Order No.B.13021/ 101 /2202-DMR /VoI-VI dated 18.02.2022), the following modifications are made and shall be enforced with immediate effect and until further order.
A. MEASURES TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN AMC AREA
3. The following guidelines shall be followed during this period.

1 | 1. Educational Institutions | Schools and Hostels are permitted to be Opened as per the instruction issued by School Education Department for students of Class X and XII, who will be appearing for board examinations, with strict observance of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).
The Standard operating Procedures (SOP) for the same will be prepared by School Education Department which will also ensure full vaccination of the teachers/other school officials on duty.
Schools and hostels for students of class I to IX and class XI shall remain closed. Classes shall continue to be conducted in online mode |
2. Higher & Technical Institutions | Classes and Hostels are permitted to be opened only for Final Semester students on the instructions issued by Higher & Technical Education Department with strict observance of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).
The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the same will be prepared by Higher & Technical Education Department which will also ensure full vaccination of the students and teachers/other officials on duty.
All other classes shall continue to be conducted in online mode. | |
3. Training institutes | Permitted with maximum 50% seating capacity of the venue. | |

B. RESTRICTIONS TO BE ENFORCED OUTSIDE AMC AREA
2. Educational institutions and Higher & Technical Education Institutions
1) Educational institutions :
a) Schools and Hostels are permitted to be opened as per the instruction issued by School Education Department, for students of Class X and XII, who will be appearing for board examinations, with strict observance of CAB.
b) The SOP for the same will be prepared by School Education Department which will also ensure full vaccination of theteachers/ other school officials on duty.
c) Schools and hostels for students of class I to IX and class XI shall remain closed. Classes shall continue to be conducted in online mode.
2) Higher & Technical Education Institutions:
a) Classes and Hostels are permitted to be opened only for Final Semester students on the instruction issued by Higher & Technical Education Department with strict observance of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).
b) The Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the same will be prepared by Higher & Technical Education Department which will also ensure full vaccination of the students and teachers/other officials on duty.
c) All other classes in Colleges and higher educational Institution/Universities shall continue to be conducted in online mode.
