It is being informed to the public that the Guidelines for Allocation of Lammual Ground have been approved by the government and are now being issued for everyone's information. These guidelines are meant to make sure that Lammual is used in a fair and proper way for temporary public and community events, and that the ground is well looked after for everyone's benefit in the future.
2. Organisations that can apply to use Lammual include government departments, public sector undertakings, registered NGOs, community-based groups, educational institutions, recognised sports bodies, event organisers, and other groups that organise events for the public good. Events that can be held include government programs, cultural and traditional festivals, educational functions, sports tournaments, exhibitions, health camps, and other activities that help the community.
3. Anyone wishing to use Lammual Ground must submit an application in the prescribed format (Annexure — I), which is available at the DC Office, Treasury Square. Applications must be submitted at least ten (10) days before the date of the event. A fair usage charge and security deposit will be applied, and the money collected will be used to maintain and improve Lammual Ground. The security deposit will be refunded after the event if the ground is left clean and without any damage.
4. Detailed guidelines are enclosed with this press note for everyone's kind reference, and for any clarifications or queries, the Publicity Officer may be contacted.
