The overall length of the proposed Aizawl Bypass Road is approximated at 34.500 Kms, the proposed Right of Way (ROW) varies from 24.0m - 90.0m with a formation width of 12m for 2 Lane portion and 46.3m for 4 lane portion. The take-off point for the proposed Bypass Road is near Sairang village and the merging point is near Phaibawk village. There will be 2 major and 2 minor junctions with 10 major bridges and 1 minor bridge. A tunnel with a twin tube 2 Lane Tunnel type as per specifications of IRC: SP-90-2019 and relevant IRC standards and MoRT&H guidelines is proposed to be constructed.
