ASSAM POLICE INTRUDES UPTO MIZORAM IR DUTY POST AT VAIRENGTE

Kolasib dated 26th July 2021: Despite attempts to diffuse the tension along Assam and Mizoram border through peaceful dialogues, the Assam Police, with an intension to overtake the IR Post at Vairengte turned up in huge numbers at the area this morning. This was stated by the DC, Kolasib today at a press briefing held by him, following today morning's incursion on the Assam-Mizoram border.

This provocation was totally against the subject of discussion between the two DCs of these two adjacent districts, where it was mutually agreed by the two DCs that no fresh developments should be prompted by either parties in these areas.

Kolasib DC Dr.H.Lalthlangliana today mentioned that IR Duty Post at Vairengte will be protected at all costs.
