Aizawl the 3rd September, 2021 : Health Minister Dr R.Lalthangliana launched Ayush Apke Dwar, as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav or the 75^th Year of India’s Independence celebration at MINECO in Aizawl, today.  An initiative of the National Medicinal Plants Board under Ministry of Ayush, the programme is a campaign to promote cultivation of medicinal plants in the state.

Dr R.Lalthangliana said that the initiative undertaken by the State Medicinal Plants Board under the aegis of the National Medicinal Plants Board and Ayush Ministry will give renewed impetus to promoting plantation of medicinal plants in Mizoram and spreading awareness on its benefits. 

Under this programme, quality planting materials of important medicinal plants will be distributed free of cost by the State Medicinal Plants Board throughout the state. The Health Minister planted Justicia adhatoda, locally known as Kawldai, at the MINECO premises to mark the occasion. Saplings were also distributed to all attendees.
