Lunglei, 26 May 2026: Training programmes for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) under Lunglei District in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026 have been successfully conducted in phases for all Assembly Constituencies within the District.

The training sessions were organised from May 22 to May 26, 2026 at the DC Conference Hall, Lunglei and SDO (Civil) Conference Hall, Tlabung, covering all six Assembly Constituencies under the district — 30-Lunglei North, 31-Lunglei East, 32-Lunglei West, 33-Lunglei South, 34-Thorang and 35-West Tuipui.

The training programmes were conducted by Election officials and resource persons including Pi Lalhruaitluangi, Election Officer, Lunglei; Pu Beitlotha Nohro, DLAO, Lunglei; Pu Lalhruailiana Zote, BDO Lungsen; and Pu Moses Lalfakawma Tlau, SDO(C) Tlabung.

During the sessions, BLOs were imparted training on various aspects of the SIR process such as house-to-house verification, filling up of Enumeration Forms, identification of eligible electors, correction of electoral particulars and maintenance of accurate Electoral Rolls.

Enumeration Forms required for the revision exercise were distributed to all BLOs during the training. BLO Kits containing bags, water bottles and umbrellas were also provided to facilitate smooth field-level functioning during the revision process.

District Election Officer Pi Navneet Mann highlighted the crucial role of BLOs in ensuring that all eligible citizens are enrolled in the Electoral Roll and appealed to all concerned to extend full cooperation for the successful conduct of SIR 2026.
