As part of the ongoing preparation for the upcoming Village Council Election, District Election Office Champhai conducted training for Village Level Officers (VLO) at I&PR Auditorium, CHANEM, today.

Addressing the VLO’s at the inaugural programme, Pu Mark Lalthanliana, Addl DC & ERO, 24-Champhai South A/C told the trainees to attend the training meticulously, extracted more knowledges and utilize the oppurtunity to the fullest. Citing about the successful conduct of MLA and MP Elections in the district, he expressed his hope to repeat the same for the Village Council Election due ahead.

Pu Lalnunfela Chawngthu, Election Officer Champhai taught the VLO’s about various Election forms and their purposes.

The training was also attended by Pi Ethel Rothangpuii, Project Director, DRDA Champhai & ERO, 23-Champhai North A/C; District Election Officials, VLO’s from 23-Champhai North A/C, 24-Champhai South A/C and 25-East Tuipui A/C. Today’s training was attended by 56 Village Level Officers.
