Champhai, the 15th August, 2022: Along with other parts of the country, the 76th Indian Independence Day, 2022 was celebrated in Champhai at Chhangphut Field with huge zeal and grandeur.

Pu Lalchhandama Ralte, Minister of State for School Education, LESDE and Printing & Stationary graced the auspicious occasion as the Chief Guest which was also attended by Dr. ZR Thiamsanga MLA, Vice Chairman, Health & Family Welfare Board, Pu Lalrinsanga Ralte MLA, Vice Chairman, Rubber Allied Crops Board, Pu James Lalrinchhana, DC Champhai, Pu Lalrinpuia Varte, SP Champhai, Heads of Offices and special invitees, among others.

The Chief Guest hoisted the national flag and acknowledged the guard of honour presented by the parade contingents comprising 1 armed contingent, 7 unarmed cintingents and 10 School contingents.
