Dated Serchhip, the 1st April, 2021: Shri P. Jawahar, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Mizoram visited 26-Serchhip ST AC to see the various preparations being taken up for the coming bye-election.

The Chief Elector Officer first visited the only two rural Polling Stations within 26-Serchhip ST AC at Neihloh and Buangpui villages, following which he proceeded on to Serchhip and held a meeting with all Nodal Officers. Addressing the officials, Shri P. Jawahar said that he found the various preparations satisfactory but asked them to remain alert and aware as there was still a long way to go for the success of the election. He thanked the District Election Officer and all the concerned officials for their efficiency and good arrangements and wished them a successful bye election.

In this meeting, Shri Abhishek Kumar, IAS, District Election Officer, also gave a power point presentation showing in detail the various preparations taken till date and the steps yet to be taken. Shri Lokesh Kumar, IAS, General Observer, and Shri Laxmi Kanth, IRS, Expenditure Observer, also give their observations over the preparation for the election.

Mizoram CEO Shri P. Jawahar was accompanied by Shri David L. Pachuau, Jt. CEO, and Shri H. Lalrinpuia, Asst. CEO, from Aizawl.
