Dated Aizawl, the 16th March, 2021: Chief Minister Pu Zoramthanga had a meeting with Ms. Rita Teaotia, Chairperson and Mr. Arun Singhal, CEO of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and their colleagues regarding enhancement of FSSAI's operaruon in the state as well as promotion of food safety and healthy diet.

The Chief Minister expressed his enthusiasm towards working to improve food safety, ensure nutritious and healthy diet among the populace and a more stringent checking of food stuffs produced in the state as well as those imported from outside. 

The meeting also touched upon discussions regarding Eat Right India initiative under FSSAI and promotion of the same in Mizoram. The FSSAI team also met with Dr. R. Lalthangliana, Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
