Chief Minister Mr. Zoramthanga today held policy briefing with members of the Bamboo Link Road Board, of which he is the chairman, at the CM's Conference Hall.

The Chief Minister said that if there is no link road to connect the bamboo plantations to the main roads, it will only serve to hamper the development process carried out under the state's flagship socio-economic development policy, which places immense emphasis on bamboo development.

Today's meeting discussed targets for the bamboo link roads and assented on the formation of a group to further identify other possible areas.

The Bamboo Link Road Board is headed by the Chief Minister who is the Minister of Horticulture. Vice Chairman is MLA Mr. Ramthanmawia. Today's meeting is attended by Mr. H. Rammawi, Planning Board Vice-Chairman, Mr C. Lalramzauva, Adviser to CM, Secretary of PWD Mr. J.C. Ramthanga who is the member secretary of the board, and other members of the board.
