Aizawl, the 22nd May 2023: Shri Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach of India National Badminton Team paid a courtesy call to Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati at the Raj Bhavan this evening. Governor also hosted dinner for his eminent guest.

Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati welcomed his esteemed guest to Mizoram and wished him fruitful interactions with the budding badminton players, the state sports officials, and the authorities of the state's badminton association. Shri Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach of the India National Badminton Team apprised the purpose of his visit and his engagements with the players, coaches, and officials during his visit.

Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati shared the success of Mizo youth in football. He also suggested to the Chief National Coach of the India National Badminton Team that the youth of Mizoram, given proper training and guidance can also excel in Badminton as well.

Smt Neelam Babardesai, Head of Sports, Tata Trusts and other officials were also present.
