Cleanliness Week-2019 closing function was held at DC Conference Hall, here at Siaha, Today.

Shri. N. Vabeiratlua, DIPRO, presided over the the function and Shri. Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS, Deputy Commissioner,Siaha  graced the function as Chief Guest.

Speaking at the function Shri. Bhupesh Chaudhary IAS, Deputy Commissioner applauded that Siaha town bagged  7th Position  amongst 27 towns of Mizoram and stood at 4th Position amongst District capitals of Mizoram state in the cleanliness competition. He informed  the gathering audiances that, he was happy due to the fact that Siaha town had bettered its rank compared to last year. "But our rank suggested that we have a long way to go, we can neither afford complacency nor gloatings " he quipped.He reiterated that cleanliness week  closing function didn't mean that all our efforts and endeavours toward cleanliness came to an end, nor it meant we could  put on hold all our efforts.It just meant a symbolic reminder to the public by Government that  we had to have cleanliness  as habitual practice and its drives too was a perpetual efforts with no full stop. 

He exhorted  Head of Offices and Teachers presented at the function to firmly inculcate the importance of cleanliness in the minds of their staff and students.

 Dr. C. Lalrosanga, District Medical Superintendent also delivered a speech on Cleanliness and vehemently propagated that "Cleanliness is a must for believers" and he also fervently implored the august gathering "If you can't be a cleaner, don't be a litterer either." he added. 

As a part of Cleanliness Week-2019 observance, Essay & Painting competition on the theme of cleanliness was held amongst High School students. Moreover, 3 Top Cleanliest each from different entrities alongwith  3  best editors/News papers   were selected as indicated below:-
