Aizawl the 17th September, 2021: The Deputy Commissioner of Champhai District Pi Maria C.T Zuali today graced NABARD Mizoram Regional Office sponsored 'One Day NGO Meet' for Champhai District as the Chief Guest at DC's Conference Hall.

The motives behind the meet was to provide opportunity to meet with one another, discuss on the issues of common
concern, as well as to share experiences and develop contacts with others and to review all the promotional programmes implemented by NGOs in the state of Mizoram particularly in Champhai District and the difficulties they faced in their implementation process. Each attendees shared their experiences in their respective fields and was discussed in detail.

Applauding the works done by the meeting organizer NABARD and the NGOs, the Chief Guest Pi Maria C.T Zuali, DC Champhai thanked the attendees and further on shares her thoughts on the how the developmental works can be expanded. She then motivates the attendees to continue their works in the upliftment and development of the district and the state as a whole.

Pi H.Lalhmachhuani, DDM, NABARD Champhai welcomed all the participants and further on presented a powerpoint presentation in the functions of NABARD in Financial, Developmental and supervision on NABARD's partnership with NGOs in Skill development/ Capacity building, LEDP/MEDP, Cluster Development, Horticulture based Projects, Promotion of FPOs, Promotion of SHGs/JLGs/FCs, RIPF.

She made a reference towards active participation and positive approach of the NGO towards rural development, she also briefly outlined the various promotional & developmental activities implemented by NGOs. viz. farm sector development, sustainability of tribal livelihoods, innovative projects, watershed development, formation of Farmers Club, FPOs, SHPI, Credit linkage of SHGs & JLGs, Financial inclusion etc.

NABARD has taken various initiatives with promotional grants assistance to NGOs. The cumulative sanctioned in the states are as under:
1. Farm Sector Promotion Fund, Rs. 286.920 lakh
2. Tribal Development Fund, Rs. 1490.131 lakh
3. Formation of FPO, Rs. 227.420 lakh
4. Springshed Project, Rs. 131.230 lakh

Pu Mark Lalduhsaka, CEO, Angel Business Promoters of Mizoram and Pu B.Lalrinkima, State Programme Co-ordinator, NEIDA made PPT on various projects implemented in the states. This was followed by extensive experience sharing, operational issues, concerns, challenges, problems and the action plan. The programme was finally concluded with agencies vowed to be more active & responsible towards the goal of rural development.

Today's One Day NGO Meet was attended by Pu Vanlalchhuanliana, BDO Champhai, Pu Jyoti Munna Soren, Lead District Manager, Dr. Lallawmkima DIPRO and representatives from NEIDA, Angel Business Promoters of Mizoram, Champhai Grapes Grower Society, and CTM PACS.
