Lawngtlai, the 4th May, 2021: An online water tax payment for Lawngtlai town under Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Lawngtlai WATSAN Division was inaugurated today by Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika, Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai District.

The inaugural function held at DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai was chaired by Er Netralal Jaisi, Senior Executive Engineer, PHED Lawngtlai WATSAN Division.
The DC inaugurated the online water tax payment system by paying water tax for DC office.

The DC praised the PHED for arranging such online payment system for the convenience of the citizens, and also for the safety of the citizens in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. He urged the citizens to make best use of the system.

Online water tax payment can be done through PHED online payment portal (www.phedmizoram.in/billpayment.php) or through mobile applications such as BHIM, Paytm, PhonePe and Google Pay. One has to link the payment system with one's consumer account number. There will be a small amount of convenience fee for payment through the portal while payment through mobile applications will be free of cost.
