Aizawl, the 2nd August, 2024: In a significant move to promote organ donation, DDM-R Aizawl, NABARD, Mizoram Regional Office today organized an awareness program titled 'Angdaan Jan Jagrukta Abhiyaan/Taksa Peng Pe la Nun Chhanhim Rawh' at the NABARD Conference Hall, MINECO, Aizawl. This event was held in anticipation of Indian Organ Donation Day on August 03, 2024. Dr. Lalchhanhimi, Joint Director of the Hospital and Medical Education Department, Health & Family Welfare Department graced the occasion as the guest speaker.

In her address, Dr. Lalchhanhimi emphasized the critical importance of organ donation in saving lives. She highlighted the urgent need for increased awareness and participation in organ donation to bridge the gap between organ demand and supply.

To further the cause, Dr. Lalchhanhimi released an informative pamphlet on organ donation, which was distributed to the attendees. The program also saw active participation from school students, who were invited to engage in an interactive quiz designed to educate and inspire them about the significance of organ donation.

The event was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of organ donation among the participants and encouraging them to contribute to this noble cause.
