Aizawl 1st November, 2021: District Election Officer (DEO), Lawngtlai Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika published a draft electoral roll 2022 of three assembly constituencies within Lawngtlai District today at DC's Conference Hall and handed over the draft electoral rolls to representatives of the political parties.

As per the draft electoral roll, there are 33,022 voters (16,667 males and 16,355 females) in 36-Tuichawng (ST) Assembly Constituency (A/C), 27,468 voters (13,828 males and 13,640 females) in 37-Lawngtlai West (ST) A/C and 24,597 voters (11,875 males and 12,722 females) in 38-Lawngtlai East (ST) A/C. In total, there are 85,087 voters (42,370 males and 42,717 females) in Lawngtlai District.

Draft electoral roll for service voters was also published today and there are 226 service voters in the District (142 service voters in 36-Tuichawng constituency, 48 service voters in 37-Lawngtlai West constituency and 36 service voters in 38-Lawngtlai East constituency).

Claims and objections regarding the draft roll can be filed upto 30th November, 2021. The qualifying date for the roll is 1st January, 2022. Final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on 15th January, 2022.
