Aizawl 15th January, 2022: District Election Officer (DEO), Lawngtlai Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika published a final electoral roll, 2022 of three assembly constituencies within Lawngtlai District today at DC's Conference Hall and handed over the final electoral rolls to representatives of political parties.
As per the final electoral roll, there are 34,200 electors (17,330 males and 16,870 females) in 36-Tuichawng (ST) Assembly Constituency (A/C), increasing by 1,178 electors from the draft roll; 28,274 electors (14,216 males and 14,058 females) in 37-Lawngtlai West (ST) A/C, 806 electors more than the draft roll; and 25,134 electors (12,140 males and 12,994 females) in 38-Lawngtlai East (ST) A/C, 537 more than the draft roll. In total, there are 87,608 electors (43,686 males and 43,922 females) in Lawngtlai District, that is 2,521 electors more than the draft roll.
Out of 70 polling stations under 36-Tuichawng constituency, 36/34-Ugudasury South P/S having 1,019 electors has the highest number of electors while 36/51-Charluitlang P/S having 128 electors has the lowest number of electors. Out of 69 polling stations under 37-Lawngtlai West constituency, 37/1-Chawngte 'P' P/S having 989 electors has the highest number of electors while 37/34-Hlimzawl P/S having 71 electors has the lowest number of electors. Out of 42 polling stations under 38-Lawngtlai East constituency, 38/25-Sangau Vengthar P/S having 1,051 electors has the highest number of electors while 38/11-Council Veng East-II P/S having 110 electors has the lowest number of electors.
