Lawngtlai, 24th November 2025: Today at 11:00 AM, District Election Officer (DEO) Shri Donny Lalruatsanga convened a meeting with CYLA leaders at the DC Office Chamber to deliberate on the arrangements for Person on Election Duty (PED) Voting and Poll Day duty protocols.

Pu Donny Lalruatsanga began the meeting by expressing gratitude to the CYLA leadership. He highlighted the crucial role of CYLA in ensuring that the 12th MDC, LADC General Election 2025 is conducted in a free, fair, and efficient manner. He appreciated CYLA's dedicated support and urged them to continue assisting in achieving a peaceful and orderly election. He also requested CYLA to actively help in spreading awareness and cooperation among the public.

During the meeting, several important points were discussed. On 27th November 2025 (Thursday), Security personnel and Drivers will cast their votes through Postal Ballot at the Postal Ballot Facilitation Centres in the DC Complex. CYLA will assign 20 volunteers for duty on that day. On 28th November 2025 (Friday), Presiding Officers (PROs) and Polling Officers (POs) will cast their Postal Ballot votes at Govt. Region Higher Secondary School. CYLA will again provide 20 volunteers, who will be stationed near the main gate to assist during the process.

For Poll Day (3rd December 2025), CYLA leaders were requested to prepare volunteers for duty across the various YLA Branch polling areas to assist PROs and polling staff. Since many people will cast their votes in the afternoon, CYLA volunteers were encouraged to provide additional support during that time.

The meeting concluded with strong participation from the CYLA leadership. DEO Shri  Donny Lalruatsanga thanked the attendees for their cooperation and formally closed the session.
