Aizawl, 31.08.2023: As the last leg of their visit after two nights stay in Mizoram, Election Commission of India team attended SVEEP Photo Exhibition held at Conference Hall of Assembly Annex Building in Aizawl.

The Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Shri Rajiv Kumar visited the photo exhibition which highlighted various SVEEP related activities in all districts within the State. The CEC also felicitated two state SVEEP icons and four persons representing different categories of voters – 80+, PwDs, Women and Young voters.

Besides the photo displays, SVEEP merchandises and model polling stations displays were also exhibited. A short function on the occasion was led by CEO Mizoram Shri Madhup Vyas. The CEC released Mizo version of the song ‘Main Bharat Hoon’ which will be used as theme song for upcoming General Election in the state. Students from Pachhunga University College put on a skit on the theme of ‘greater participation for stronger democracy’. The programme concluded with vote of thanks from DEO Aizawl District Smt. Nazuk Kumar.

ECI team departed for Delhi after the programme.
