Aizawl the 14th October,

The family of Pu Nampibou Marinmai, who tragically lost his life in a road accident near Sateek village, south of Aizawl, on October 1, 2026, along with senior Press Information Bureau (PIB) officer Dr. Engam Pame, visited Aizawl today and met the Director of Information & Public Relations Pi Mina Zoliani Joute, at her office.

I&PR Director Pi Mina Zoliani Joute recalled the valuable contributions made by Pu Nampibou Marinmai and the significant loss his passing has caused to the media fraternity in Mizoram. She also expressed her sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.

Pu C. Lalhmachhuana, Vice President, Mizoram Journalists Association (MJA), spoke on behalf of the MJA. Dr. Rajeev Lourembam of PIB Aizawl also spoke on the occasion.

Pi Aning Newmai, wife of late Pu Nampibou Marinmai, expressed her gratitude to the Government of Mizoram, the media fraternity and the people of Mizoram for their love, kindness and support extended to the family following the tragic incident.
