Aizawl, the 28th June 2023: In supersession of its earlier notification issued on 26. 06.2023, General Administration Department, Government of Mizoram restored Idu'l Zuha as Bank Holiday for banks and financial institutions within Mizoram State. The notification is reproduced as below.

In supersession of this Department's Notification No.F.23012/1/2020-GAD dt.26.06.2023 and in exercise of the powers conferred by Explanation under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No.25/20/56/Pub-I dt.06.09.1957, the Competent Authority hereby revokes the cancellation of 29th June, 2023 (Idu'l Zuha) as a holiday for banks and financial institutions within Mizoram State. Hence, as per this Department's Notification vide No.F.23012/1/2019-GAD dt.25.10.2022, the 29th of June, 2023 being Idul Zuha is hereby restored as a holiday for banks and financial institutions within Mizoram State.
