Kolasib dated 16th April, 2024: Dr. Nipun Vinayak, IAS, General Observer convened a meeting through Video Conference with District Election Officer, Kolasib, Superintendent of Police and Nodal Officers for the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024.

Mr. John LT Sanga, District Election Officer highlighted on the general preparedness carried out in Kolasib district for the Lok Sabha Election, mentioning that 3rd Training for all Polling Officials have been completed and 3rd Randomization of Polling Officials & Micro Observer is to be held on 17th April. In order to conduct peaceful Election, the District Election Officer pointed out that a good coordination is being maintain with its adjacent district, Cachar and Hailakandi as well.

In the meeting Nodal Officers presented a brief report on the preparation of Strong Rooms for storing EVMs, checking and commissioning of EVM & VVPAT, provisions for availability of Assured Minimum Facilities in each Polling Stations and initiatives taken under Systemic Voters Education & Electoral Participation.
