Aizawl, the 19th October 2023: Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati graces the 23rd Graduation and Lamp Lighting Ceremony of B.Sc. Nursing of RIPANS held at Woodland Hills, Zonuam, today.

At the outset, Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati congratulated the new nursing students who were inducted with Oath-taking and Lamp Lighting to continue their careers in the noble services. He also congratulated the graduate students and wished them great careers ahead as they started to venture out on their own.

In his address, the Governor reiterated that nursing and other healthcare services are among the skills that the youth of Northeast India are uniquely blessed with. He highlighted the great opportunities available to nursing graduates and other healthcare professional degree and diploma holders within the country and abroad. In this regard, he praised the successful placement records that RIPANS is consistently achieving. He also lauded RIPANS for its substantial contributions to the healthcare sector in the northeast by skilling the youth in nursing and other healthcare services.

The Program commenced with a welcome address and a brief introduction to the functioning of RIPANS by Prof Sanjay D Sawant, Director, RIPANS. It continued with the Lamp Lighting & Oath taking by First semester,(New students). Pi C. Thankhumi, Nursing Superintendent, Synod Hospital administered the proceeding. On the programs, the courses, and achievements of the Nursing College, RIPANS, Pi Lalfamkimi, the Principal gave a short report. This was followed by the distribution of citations and proficiency awards. The graduate students received citations from Prof Sanjay D Sawant, Director, RIPANS. While the meritorious students received proficiency awards from Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Pi Laldinpuii Sailo, Convener, Organising Committee of the Program.
