Aizawl, the 6th February 2023Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati felicitated two NCC cadets of 1 Mizo Air Squadron who participated successfully in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023 at the Raj Bhavan today.

Corporal Kenny  Lalrinawma Singh, 4th Semester Dept of Chemistry, Pachhung University College and  Corporal Laltlansangi, 4th Semester, Dept of Geology, Pachhunga University College are the two selected  NCC Cadets of 1 Mizo Air Squadron who participated and excelled at the RDC 2023. Corporal Kenny  Lalrinawma Singh  secured  Directorate General NCC Medal and First Position in Cultural (Group Song) while Corporal Laltlansangi participated In Prime Minister Rally(Cultural) and Line Area.  Brigadier Arun Uniyal, Silchar Group Commander,  Squadron Leader MK Singh, 1 Mizo Air Squadron, Commanding Officer, Warrant Officer HZK Vanlalsawma, 1 Mizo Air Squadron, Adjutant and other officials were present at this felicitation program.

Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati congratulated the two young NCC cadets for their excellent performance and achievement in the 74th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023. He urged more youth to join National Cadet Corps (NCC) to increase their chance of serving their country with pride and dignity through the various military forces. He also requests Brigadier Arun Uniyal, Silchar Group Commander, his officers and staff of all ranks to continue to create awareness of career opportunities in defence services among the youth of Mizoram.

The 74th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2023 commenced at Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt on January 02, 2023.  The RDC 2023 had the participation of cadets and officers from 19 friendly countries as part of the youth exchange programme. A total of  2,155 cadets including 710 girls from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories participated in the month-long Camp. Out of 2155 cadets, 120 cadets from the North East Region participated.
