Vairengte, the 9th June 2022: Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati visited the Counter-Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School(CIJWS) and the Camp at Ground Zero manned by CRPF personnel this morning. He visited the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana(PMUY) at their homes. He also inspected the houses constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana(PMAY) and interacted with the owners.
At the Information and Research Centre, CIJWS, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati was briefed by Major General Rajiv Thapar, Commandant on the importance of the institution and how the school is being run with the maintenance of the highest standard. In honour of the visit by the Governor, the CIJWS commandos demonstrated rescue operations in terror attack scenarios.
At ground zero, Governor was briefed by Home Commissioner H.Lalengmawia and Shri Shah Nawaz Khan, DIG, CRPF, Silchar. Here, the Governor shared his appreciation of the jawans posted for maintenance of peace and stability at the border area. He remind them of the utmost importance of maintaining neutrality and urged them to keep up their high standards at discharging their duties for the sake of peace between the neighbours.
Governor also visited the beneficiaries of central welfare schemes such as PMUY and PMAY within Vairengte town at various locations. During these visits, he interacted with the beneficiaries, the village council officials and concerned officials of the DC's Office.
At all places he visited in the Vairengte Town area, Governor was escorted and supported by Pu John LT Sanga, Deputy Commissioner, Pu Vanlalfaka Ralte, SP, Kolasib, Pu Nengthianlala, SDO(C) and other top officials of the district.
