Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram Shri Kummanam Rajasekheran met the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at New Delhi to discuss the development of road, air and telecommunication connectivity in Mizoram. He submitted a representation concerning the development of road connectivity along the Indo-Myanmar and Indo-Bangladesh borders by Border Road Organization.  He also sought support for upgrading Kawnpui-Durtlang-Aizawl Road and Sairang-Tuipuibari Road being maintained by BRO to National Highway Double Lane (NHDL) specification.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister assured all possible help in improving the connectivity issues in the State. He said that he is with the people of Mizoram and will support in all way possible for the development of the state. The upcoming railway project will also give a major boost which in turn will improve the overall picture of the State.
