Dated Aizawl the 19th November 2022 : Governor of Mizoram Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati graced the 15th Mizoram State Council for Child Welfare Painting Competition 2022 Award Distribution Program held at PC Girls School ,Mission Veng ,Aizawl.
As the Chief Guest of the ceremony ,the Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati expressed his appreciation to the State Council for Child Welfare for their various noble activities such as providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections, conducting seminars for parents, and ensuring a safe environment for students in the hostels and also providing assistance to children in hospitals and orphanages in a number of occasions.
The Governor also said that he is happy to learn that the recommendation of names for National Bravery award is undertaken by the council as he paid his respect to all the 39 children who have received the National bravery award from Mizoram . He applauded the State Council for all these initiatives, and encouraged them to keep on doing the good work.
In his address to the students , Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati congratulated all the students who participated in the 13th state council painting competition as he stressed the importance of the development of intelligence and creativity to face uncertain challenges in life. He advised the students to learn and understand new cultures,customs and best practices as they share their own which he believed is essential for positive growth in all aspects, especially in this globalised world.
109 children participated in this painting competition which was divided into 4 groups, white group ,green ,Yellow Group and Red group which consists of differently abled students .
The ceremony was presided over by Pu Ngurbiaka, Executive Member MSCCW who highlighted the achievements and initiatives of MSCCW followed by presentation of memento to Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati , Lady Governor Smt Dr Jayashree Kambhampati,Guest of honor and award distribution .The program concluded with Vote of thanks from Prof. Lianzela, Executive Member ,MSCCW.
Mizoram State Council for Child Welfare is an organization mainly composed of retired Government servants and eminent senior citizens . Social Welfare Minister of Mizoram is the President and Pu C Lalrinliana is the working President of the organization .Governor of Mizoram is also the Chief Patron of this organization .
