Aizawl, the 10th August, 2024: Hon'ble Minister of State for Rural Development, Government of India, Shri Kamlesh Paswan visited the BDO Office, Aibawk RD Block this afternoon. He was accompanied by Shri KM Singh, Director PMGSY, and Shri K.Hrahmo, MLA.

The Hon'ble Minister was warmly received by RD Dept. officials, village leaders, and beneficiaries of various schemes under the RD Department at the BDO's Conference Hall, where an interaction session was also held. Shri Zarzosanga, Commissioner & Secretary, RD Department, presided over the brief reception program, and Pi Esther Leihang, BDO, Aibawk RD Block, presented a power point presentation on the various initiatives and ongoing projects of the BDO Office, Aibawk RD Block.

In his address, Minister Shri Kamlesh Paswan stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to developing the North Eastern states in various ways, with work underway in multiple sectors. He added that he had visited to assess the progress of development works under his Ministry and to understand the challenges faced by officials and beneficiaries.

During the interaction session, the Minister thoroughly inquired about the implementation of various schemes, such as Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), MGNREGA, Deen Dhayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalaya Yojana (DDU-GKY), MzSRLM etc.. within Aibawk RD Block. He interacted not only with officials but also with village council members and beneficiaries.

Before visiting the BDO office, Minister Shri Kamlesh Paswan first visited the house of Pu MS Dawngliana, constructed under the PMAY-G scheme at Muallungthu  village.
