Lawngtlai Horticulture Division and Lawngtlai Florist Association (LFA) jointly organised the 3rd Horticulture Exhibition, 2020 at LADC Conference Hall. This three-day exhibition was inaugurated by Joint Director of Horticulture Pu H. Manthianga, today.

Pu H. Manthianga pointed out that organising an exhibition required a lot of preparation and dedication, praising the Lawngtlai Horticulture Division for successfully organising one. He said, the exhibition is a platform to boost farmers confidence and interests as well as to provide an easy access for interested consumers. He encouraged farmers of Lawngtlai District to practice organic farming as far as possible and try to make Lawngtlai District self-sufficient in horticulture products.

Divisional Horticulture Officer Pu C. Lianluaia chaired the inaugural function and welcomed the attendees. LIKBK General Secretary Rev. B. Zazawna Lai conducted a short devotion. Lawngtlai Florist Association (LFA) President Pi Zodinpuii Fanchun also delivered a speech. Horticulture Development Officer Pu Hunlawmawma proposed a vote of thanks which was followed by a training on flower arrangement.

Lawngtlai Horticulture Division and Lawngtlai Florist Association had earlier organised exhibitions in the years 2017 and 2018 successfully. This time, 16 items of flowers from 45 florists and 16 items of fruits and vegetables from 49 farmers were exhibited.

The exhibition will last for three days during which anyone can visit and buy fresh and healthy fruits, vegetables and flowers at the venue. A closing function will be organised on 13th March in which prizes will be distributed.
