Aizawl ; the 30th August,2021: A brief felicitation programme for meritorious Girl students of Siaha District who had secured distinction marks in the HSSLC 2021 examination was organized under the aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao(BBBP) at DC Conference Hall, at Siaha today.

Shri.Kesavan R, IAS Deputy Commissioner of Siaha District graced the programme as Chief Guest, and distributed Awards consisting of Citation, BBBP Mug and incentive cash prize of Rs.5000 each to the 7 meritorious Girl students.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri.Kesavan exhorted the meritorious girl students to be torch bearers and trendsetters in various fields where no women have ventured into, and encouraged them to persevere in the face of any adversities that may lie on their path towards higher studies. He also reminded them that the people of Siaha District, especially women folks will be watching them with high expectations, ‘so be brave and bring home more laurels,’ he quipped.

Another felicitation programme for HSLC meritorious girl students will be conducted tomorrow wherein 30 meritorious girl students will be awarded with the same prize as those of HSSLC students.

Names of those felicitated girl students are given below:

4)Rebek R.Liansangpuii

5)K.Sindi

6)Satei Dina

7)Vanlalhriatchhungi.

All of them secured distinction marks and they all belonged to Foxall HSS and all of them belonged to Arts stream except Vanlalhriatchhungi, who belonged to science stream.

Today's Programme was presided over by Smt. B.Zisia,Women Welfare Officer,MSK and Smt.Lalnunmawii,SDO(S) and Nodal Officer,BBBP concluded the programme with a proposal of vote of thanks
