Lunglei, 13 February 2026: The “I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar” (Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore) programme, an initiative of the Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei, was conducted today at Power & Electricity Mual, Buarpui, under Bunghmun RD Block for the residents of Buarpui and nearby villages.

The programme was chaired by Bunghmun BDO Pu Paul Rokima, who highlighted the objectives of the initiative. Lunglei Sub-Deputy Commissioner Pu H. Lalthlengliana presented a report on the implementation of the programme, and representatives of various departments briefed attendees on the services provided. Buarpui Village Council President Pu Zakhuma expressed gratitude to the departments and offices for bringing services directly to the people.

Departments including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Block Development Office, Health & Family Welfare, AH & Veterinary, Women & Child Development (ICDS), Agriculture, Horticulture, Public Health Engineering, Land Revenue & Settlement Department, and Mizoram Rural Bank set up stalls to provide services. These included issuance and correction of important documents (Aadhaar, ST/Residential/Income Certificates, Job Cards, Land Passes), opening of bank accounts, medical and veterinary consultations and vaccinations, awareness on government schemes, and on-the-spot registrations.

Altogether, around 450 people availed various services during the programme.
