Lawngtlai 18th July, 2025 : Shri. Amit Sharma, IAS, Secretary, Information & Communication Technology (ICT) and Cooperation Department, Government of Mizoram, visited  Lawngtlai district yesterday and had an inclusive meeting with the district officials at the DC Conference Hall. The meeting was chaired by Shri. Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai  District.

At the outset, Shri. Amit Sharma thanked the member present and pointed out that his maiden visit to the district was to give impetus to ICT influx and development of Cooperative sector as well as overall development for the district. Assessing the  growth potential in e-Services domain, he indicated that e- office had already been practiced at the Secretariat level and will soon be implemented at the district level for achieving paperless governance . Highlighting on the importance and potential of Digital Online Platforms, Secretary Sharma assured that necessary steps had been taken so that people may have more ease and comfort in getting service from the government. 

Shri. Amit Sharma also stipulates on the need for faster and meaningful development for various cooperative societies and assured that necessary help will he provided at anytime from the Government. Speaking on the importance of cordial and collective responsibilities, he calls for all the departments to work together in order to give their utmost for the people they so served. 

At the meeting, Shri. Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS,  Deputy Commissioner,  extended his  unwavering welcome to  Secretary Sharma for his visit to the district and unending contribution he made for the state of Mizoram. Shri.Cheemala then  presented a short report  highlighting the development potential and existing challenges of the district. 

Extensive discussions were held where the head of various departments  outlined their action plans and achievements along with various challenges faced by them. At this juncture, Secretary Shri. Amit Sharma  assured them  his willingness to extend all the necessary support and that he would personally met the concerned Ministers for resolving their issues. 

At the Meeting, Superintendent of Police (SP), Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Sub- Deputy Commissioner (SDC), District AH & Vety Officer, District Horticulture Officer, District Agriculture Officer, Distrcit Child Protection Officer, Principal, DIET,  District Information & Public Relations Officer, representatives from DPO ( WCD), LADC,  CADC and  BSNL were present. The Secretary was accompanied by H Vanhlupuia, Deputy Registrar, Cooperation Department; Lalengzuala, Informatics Officer, ICT; and Lalmuanawma, Database Administrator, MEeGS. 

Shri. Cheemala Siva Gopal Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner concluded the meeting by proposing  a vote of thanks.
