Aizawl the 10th May, 2024 : The 'International Day of Plant Health 2024' will be observed on 12th May with the theme 'Save Plants- Save Planet', because healthy plants mean a healthy planet.

On the eve of International Day of Plant Health, the office of Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC), Aizawl had organised various activities to educate and engage communities in understanding the importance of plant health and sustainable agriculture by involving the theme of 'Conservation of Natural bio-control agents' and 'Safe and Judicious use of Pesticides'. Activities conducted were – Kisan Gosthi, IPM exhibition, awareness campaign on Safe and Judicious use of Pesticide, Tree Plantation drive and conducting competition for school children.

The Central IPM Centre, Govt. Of India, under Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare in Aizawl, Mizoram also conducted drawing competition for school children in Little Kingdom School, Chhinga Veng, Aizawl and Essay writing competition in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Aizawl on the theme 'Save Plants, Save Planet' on 9th May 2024. School children actively participated in the competitions.
