In the run-up to the coming International Paragliding Accuracy Championship 2020, the Organising Committee met today under the chairmanship of Mr Robert Romawia Royte, Minister of Sports and Tourism at his office chamber in Aizawl.


So far, 60 pilots from China, South Korea, Macedonia, Slovenia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and India have registered to compete at the top level aero sports competition to be held at Serchhip, located at a distance of around 112 kms from the State capital Aizawl. The President and the Secretary-General of the Aero Club of India, the highest governing body for aero sports in India will attend the international event which will be kickstarted on February 12.


Today’s meeting was held to assess the overall preparedness in terms of finance, logistics, publicity, hospitality and other key factors as Mizoram gears up to host its maiden international aero sports championship.
