Lawngtlai, the 8th March, 2021: An observation of International Women's Day, 2021 jointly organised by One Stop Centre and DAY-NULM was held today at DC's Conference Hall, Lawngtlai with Dr Andrew H. Vanlaldika, Deputy Commissioner Lawngtlai as a Chief Guest.

The function was chaired by Pi Malsawmtluangi, Superintendent, DC office, Lawngtlai. Speeches were delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr Andrew H Vanlaldika; Pi J. Lalremkimi, District Centre Administrator, One Stop Centre, Lawngtlai; Pi Rebek Laldawmdingi, Superintendent, Swadhar Greh, Lawngtlai; Pi B. Lalruatchhungi, District Coordinator, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), Lawngtlai; Pi VL Ramnunsangi, District Manager, DAY-NULM, Lawngtlai; and representatives from Sub-Headquarters Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl, Lawngtlai and General Headquarters Lai Women's Association, Lawngtlai. The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Pu V. Lalruatliana, SDO (Sadar) & District Project Officer, UD&PA Lawngtlai.

The celebration of International Women's Day at Lawngtlai was attended by members of MHIP & LWA, representatives of Self Help Groups under NULM and staff of OSC, Swadhar Greh, MSK and DAY-NULM.

International Women's Day is celebrated around the world on 8th March every year since 1977 as proclaimed by the United Nations Organisation (UNO).
