Khawzawl, the 20th March, 2021: Khawzawl District Disaster Management Authority (KDDMA)  held meeting yesterday at  DC's Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Pu Zothanmawia, Deputy Commissioner, Khawzawl. The meeting was conducted in view of different disasters which can occur anytime in the district, its prevention, mitigation and precautionary measures were discussed in the meeting.

The District Disaster Management Plan for Khawzawl District moulded by DDMA, after careful scrutiny was approved and decided to forward to State Disaster Management Authority for further necessary action.
In pursuance of the direction received from State  DM&R department, the DDMA decided to detail all Zonal Officers to carry out fire Audit/inspection of public buildings in their respective areas. And also the meeting proposed to conduct widespread awareness campaign on disaster management including conduct of Mock Drill in collaboration with the State DM&R Department.
