Kolasib dated 12th October 2022: The sitting of Kolasib District Vigilance Committee on Fertilizers, which took place at DC Conference Hall discussed at length, the various issues and scenario of allotment and distribution of fertilizers in the district. The committee decided to strengthen monitoring by all concerned departments and take up sterner measures in order to check the in-flow of fertilizers beyond allotted amount, at all the border checkgates.

It was pointed out in the meeting that this year, only urea was allotted to the district while DAP and MOP was very much in demand among the farmers. It was also mentioned that 644.18 MT of Urea allotted to the district did not meet the requirement of the farmers.
