Dated Aizawl, the 18th November 2025: The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), State Office Mizoram, organised an Awareness Programme under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) at the Secretariat Conference Hall-II, MINECO, Khatla today coinciding with the observance of the 150th Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.

The programme aimed to create widespread awareness about PMEGP, its benefits, and the opportunities available for aspiring entrepreneurs in Mizoram. As part of the commemoration of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, the gathering was also briefed on the life, struggles, and extraordinary contributions of Birsa Munda, the iconic tribal freedom fighter who inspired generations through his fight against colonial oppression.

Dr. Vineet Chaturvedi, Director, KVIC Mizoram and Smt. J. Zodinpuii, Assistant Director were among the officials present. A detailed presentation on PMEGP and Janjatiya Gaurav Divas was delivered by Shri Safiyan Hayath, Executive, KVIC.
