Lawngtlai, 9 June 2026: As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026, the District Election Officer (DEO), Lawngtlai, Shri Donny Lalruatsanga, chaired a review meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Lawngtlai Town at the DC's Office Chamber today.

During the meeting, Shri Donny Lalruatsanga commended the dedication and commendable efforts of the BLOs in carrying out SIR 2026 activities. Reviewing the status of distribution of Enumeration Forms, he expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved so far. However, he pointed out that greater efforts are required in the collection of Enumeration Forms and the digitization process, and urged the BLOs to intensify their work in these areas.

The DEO also stressed the need for improved performance in Electors Mapping, noting that additional efforts are necessary to achieve better results. He reminded the BLOs that the Election Commission of India (ECI) attaches great importance to SIR 2026 and emphasized the need to continue working diligently to meet the Commission’s expectations. He further urged all BLOs to discharge their responsibilities with utmost sincerity and commitment.

Various issues relating to the progress made by the BLOs were discussed during the meeting. Particular attention was given to the percentage of electors mapped, where it was observed that some BLOs need to put in additional effort to improve their performance. Participants unanimously acknowledged the crucial role played by BLOs in ensuring the successful implementation of SIR 2026 and in maintaining a clean, accurate, and credible Electoral Roll. They resolved to continue working with dedication towards these objectives.

The meeting was attended by the EROs and AEROs of 36-Tuichawng (ST), 37-Lawngtlai West (ST), and 38-Lawngtlai East (ST), along with all BLOs serving within Lawngtlai Town. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Donny Lalruatsanga.
