Lawngtlai District Level Task Force on Coronavirus Outbreak held its meeting today under the chairmanship of Addl DC Pu K. Laltlawmlova, MCS at the Addl DC's office chamber.

Member Secretary Dr Lalthlamuana, Chief Medical Officer gave a brief introduction on the constitution of the district level task force. The meeting discussed various plans for prevention against the outbreak of coronavirus. It resolved to put a medical team at Saisihchhuah to screen people who enter from Myanmar side for the virus, to conduct public awareness in all villages and to equip health workers of border villages with necessary equipments for screening.

Necessary equipments received from Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) were displayed today. Fortunately, there is no case of the said disease in Lawngtlai District and Myanmar is reported to be safe from the virus as of now. The district level task force asked the people of the district to remain calm and not to panic.
