LAWNGTLAI DISTRICT LEVEL TRAFFIC CONTROL COMMITTEE MEETING HELD

A meeting of Lawngtlai District Level Traffic Control Committee was held yesterday under the chairmanship of DC Lawngtlai Pi Shashanka Ala, IAS in her office chamber.

The committee discussed about traffic management and road safety within Lawngtlai town. Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) Transport Department and Lawngtlai Police were entrusted to identify a location for 'Parking Area' while Traffic Police and Transport Department were to enforce laws, rules and regulations strictly to solve double parking and other traffic problems.

The meeting resolved that no construction materials, garbage and trade related items should be stacked up on the road and all roads should be made hindrance-free within 2 weeks. An inspection squad was formed to oversee the progress in this regard and those who fail to comply will be fined.
