The much awaited Lunglei District Inter Department Badminton Tournament 2019 was inaugurated yesterday at the Bazar veng Indoor Stadium by the Additional DC Pu David Liansanglura Pachuau in the presence of officials and members of Lunglei District Badminton Association. 376 participants from various Government Departments have signed up to participate in the event.

Speaking at the inaugural function, the Additional DC emphasized that the tournament was organized with a view to foster closer ties and encourage a healthy working relationship amongst the various Government Departments within the District. Emphasizing on the importance of good sportsmanship, he encouraged the participants to treat each other with respect and due regard to the rules and regulations laid out.
