Aizawl 2nd October,2021 : 45th Cleanliness Week inaugural function 2021 was held this morning at Charkawn Mamit Town with Dr. Lalrozama IAS, DC as the Chief Guest.

Pu. C. Sawihlira, DUDO Mamit gave a brief report of the various ativities to be undertaken during the week. As per the reports given by the VCs of Mamit town best cleanliness activist in their respective Village Council were given who devote their lives to clean Mizoram. Pi Laltharzeli, Mamit Bazar Veng and Pu Lalrongenga, Chhimveng Mamit  were awarded with Citation and Cash. Besides, Prizes for the best performer in the 'Waste to Art' Exhibition held on 30th September, 2021 was also given wherein the winners are Lalremkimi Mamit Venghlun standing at the first position and Buannel Home Mamit as the first runners up followed by H. Lalchhanhima, Field veng Mamit. They were awarded with cash and citation. Also participation prizes were handed out to all the 39 participants in the exhibition.

Swachh Pledge was taken by all the participants of the programme today with the help of LR Zampuii, a women based organisation MHIP president of Mamit.

The inaugural programme was chaired by Pu Rodingluaia, Jt. VC Chairman of Mamit Town VCs, Devotion by Upa CL Thantluanga, MUP Dist. Hqrs President and a vote of thanks proposed by Pu Vanlalchhuanga Chhangte, Sub Hqrs. YMA President.

Alongside Mamit town, the cleanliness week inaugural function was also held with their respective nodal offices in all the three notified towns of Mamit District namely Zawlnuam, West Phaileng and Kawrthah.
