Vigilance Week, 2019 Awareness Campaign has been organised at Siamliana Hall, Mamit District under the chair of Dr. Lalrozama, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mamit District. He welcome all the participants of this vigilance week 2019 and asked to support the cause of this campaign to achieve a form of Government and social system free from corruption.
Pu R. Lalnunmawia, Dy. SP, ACB, Vigilance Deptt campaigned for the vigilance week by saying that the fight against corruption is the duty of all people by staying vigilant on the activities of the Government and its employees. The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 obliged all of us to be free from corrupt activities aspecialy Government servants are bound by CCS (Conduct) Rules to fair practices. All Government fundings are aspected to be spent as per plan and estimate and if any exigencies occur for diversion of fund permission for higher authories in record should be obtain by the implementing agencies. He also elaborated the functioning of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the steps they have already taken to fight corruption.
Pu Jacob Lalawmpuia, Addl.DC Mamit initiated the pledge taking ceremony by reading the pledge with all the participants. Pu Shashank Jaiswal, IPS, SP Mamit proposed a vote of thanks to end the programme.
The Programme was attended by Officials from the District, College Students, Local Leaders, NGOs and Media persons.
