Mamit 17th August, 2020 : Today a District Level Coordination Committee meeting was held at DC Conference Hall, Mamit on the agenda to observe National Deworming Day (NDD) for a week between 24th - 28th August, 2020 in the District. The Meeting was chaired by Dr. Lalrozama, IAS, DC Mamit and also the Chairman of DLCC.

In the meeting, it was decided that NDD Week launching programme will be celebrated on 24th August, 2020 at DC Complex @ 10:00 am. The target beneficiaries are children and adolescents between 1 years to 19 years of age and the target beneficiaries estimate is 31079 in the District. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the platform of Schools and Anganwadi is not possible therefore ASHA Workers may distribute Albendazole tablets door to door without entering the house, wearing face mask and use hand sanitizer while distributing. 21 villages of Mamit District with no ASHA Workers, will be distributed by School teachers and Anganwadi Workers.
